Akul is the Founder and CEO of Medex Finance, a pioneering platform that streamlines the entire Medicaid claims process—from assembling the necessary documentation to providing upfront financing. After earning a degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, Akul began his career as a Product Manager at Yext, where he helped shape the company's offerings in the run-up to its 2017 IPO. He then moved into venture capital at Forum Ventures, focusing on early-stage B2B startups, before honing his expertise in insurance claims and data at EvolutionIQ (acquired by CCC Solutions in 2025). Leveraging this cross-functional experience in product innovation, data-driven strategy, and financing, Akul founded Medex Finance to empower healthcare providers with a seamless, secure, and financially sound approach to managing Medicaid claims.
